Live on the edge of speed and performance and become one of the rare few to experience the breathtaking, intoxicating power of the McLaren 765LT. This track-focused model is a ferocious monster that demands a special driver. Step into a world of distilled thrills where only you exist with the roar of the exhausts. Matching the exclusive name, 765, is McLaren’s announcement that it will only produce 765 of these astounding cars, so rent yours now.

The Exterior
Sporting the name LT, Long Tail, this model is shaped by the pursuit of driving purity. The low sleek lines are enhanced by bespoke carbon fibre body panels shaped in an iconic elongated profile. The 765LT features extra vents, a wider front track and larger side panels compared to the 750S. The extended bumper and rear diffuser at the back are designed to suck out the air from underneath and increase downforce. Completing the imposing look are four sawn-off shotgun-like exhausts and the sensational dihedral up-and-forward doors.

The Interior
With a focus on the driver and speed, the cabin style is minimalist with lightweight carbon-fibre racetrack seats, loads of exposed carbon, limited storage space and no carpets. The slimmed down centre-piece has 2 cup holders for those very-rare slower drives. The 12.3-inch fold-down digital display in front of the steering wheel ensures that you can always see it no matter your height, and the vertical row of Drive and Reverse buttons make you feel as if you have stepped into an airplane cockpit.

The Drive
Being the most power-centric series-production model made by McLaren, the 765LT sports a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 765hp. Get ready for a sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, and, if you can legally do it, you will hit 160 km/h in just 5 seconds. Top speeds reach 330 km/h. At super-high speeds, the steering is responsive with cutting-edge hydraulic power assist and the braking system is forgiving, capturing the synergy between man and machine. On a public road, you probably want to select Comfort Mode, as opposed to Sports or Track Mode, which should be reserved for the racetrack.
